Zurik scrap is composed of a mixture of non-ferrous formless metals, mainly stainless steel in combination with aluminium, copper, lead, magnesium, nickel, tin and zinc.
The material must be checked by passing through magnets for removal of any ferrous part and it must be free of slag, ash and inert. The number following the Zurik short form indicates the percentage of non-ferrous material in the compound; Zurik 95 means that the presence of non-ferrous material is 95%.
